Welcome! Let's Take A Tour...

The Art Center! Many different kinds of materials and tools that are just right for little hands to use can be found here. Preschoolers are encouraged to create their very own work, and guidance and instruction are given as needed. Finished masterpieces are proudly displayed for all to enjoy! Everything has a special place to belong, and students get to practice beginning reading skills as they look for the picture and/or word that shows them where to put things back when they are finished.
The Puppet Theatre! Puppets are a wonderful way for the children to develop oral language skills, storytelling, and to have FUN TOGETHER! If you ever have the chance to watch a puppet show by Cassidy preschoolers, it is very special treat!

Lego Table! These legos are the perfect size for preschool hands to use for building, and developing stronger finger & hand muscles for fine motor coordination!

The Reading Center! This is a cozy corner where preschoolers can enjoy good books. During the preschool years, it is very important for children to "read" books in their own words. This is an important step toward a lifelong love of reading!

An important thing about a preschool classroom is organization. Students learn where they can find certain activities, and where to return them. Shelves designed just for preschoolers hold puzzles and table toys that are fun to choose, play with, and return. Not only are the activities educational, this also helps foster a healthy sense of independence.

The Housekeeping Center! This is a delightful little place to pretend! Little mothers, fathers, and a variety of community helpers can come up with all sorts of things to do! There are meals to cook, babies to rock, fires to put out, and sick people to help. Children can let their imaginations soar, and learn how to cooperate with one another at the same time.

The Block Center! There are so many fun ways to create, and building with blocks is a favorite for preschoolers. Often you can see trucks, boats, and helicopters traveling around in beautiful cities made by Cassidy preschoolers.

The Math Center! From cash registers to scales, there are so many ways that preschoolers can explore and enjoy math concepts. Math is always fun in Miss Deborah's room. Feel free to come for a visit and look around at this fun classroom up close and in person. We would love to meet you and your child!
